The Mission

"Religion that God our Father accepts as pure and faultless is this: to look after orphans and widows in their distress and to keep oneself from being polluted by the world."
James 1:27

We, as believers, are called to :

  • go and make disciples (Matthew 28:19)

  • let the children come to Jesus (Matthew 19:14), and

  • care for orphans and widows (James 1:27)

We hope to honor God with our lives and this mission. We hope to one day stand before his throne, confident that we lived faithfully and stewarded the resources he entrusted to us for his glory.

The Agape House mission is to

"Grow in love for God and lead others to do the same."

The plan is to carry out this mission by a variety of means, including, but not limited to:

  • intentionally teaching the Gospel to the children in our care

  • providing a loving and safe family environment for Agape House children

  • sharing our mission with volunteers and allowing their involvement to bless and encourage them

  • collaborating with caseworkers, foster agencies, parents, and other community leaders for the best interest of our children

  • providing programs for healing and restoration for children and their families

  • remaining open to God's direction for Agape House

As we welcome foster children, please keep us in prayer! Pray for the children in our care, that they would know the love of Christ, carry it back to their families, and for spiritual and physical protection for us all.
